Sergeant Albert Kent
RICHARD LLOYD-KNIGHT
I am an actor who has been ‘resting’ for 28 years but now I am stepping up and have been appearing in a range of commercials, presenters roles, short and feature films. My return to the screen is driven by a passion for engaging audiences with great stories.
'Benighted is one such story. When I looked into the tale of Kent and his squad, I knew this would be a challenging role to play and a story that had to be told. The whole experience of filming was fantastic. The cast and crew were all focused on making something memorable and I hope we have done just that.'
Corporal Pony Moore
LEE ABBATE
After a decade in the industry Lee has found roles in work such as ‘Waterloo Road’ and ‘Shameless’. After refined acting training he progressed to roles in ‘Emmerdale’, ‘Doctors’, and the award winning short ‘We the Brave’. You may recognise him from the well-received 2018 Morrison Advert ‘Homecoming’, where he also played a soldier.
‘On Benighted I felt so welcomed and working with such an open-minded director like Dan made my experience all the more enjoyable. I truly immersed myself in this role and working opposite Rich helped me to strive even further in my performance and as for the rest of the cast, it really felt like a true brotherhood for that short time’.

NATHAN PAUL-COLLIS
This was Nathan’s screen debut, he’d been stage acting for 2 years always wanting to entertain. Nathan’s love for acting was born from the desire to return to the state of play we enjoyed in our youth.
‘Getting into character and into this environment makes you realise how privileged you are not to have been in these men’s positions. It was tiring and challenging physically, but ultimately a great experience. The director’s vision was clear from the start, and this was a great aid creatively to my performance’.

KAINE APPLEGATE
Kaine started acting at a young age mainly performing in school plays but took a decade off acting to pursue a career in software development, after some personal events he decided to pick acting back up and has performed in leading and supporting roles on both screen and stage for the last five years.
‘Absolutely loved every second working on Benighted, the cast and crew where perfect and I feel like they all did the story justice’.

AARON HOOPER
Aaron’s previous experience covers all aspects of acting ranging from films to music videos to TV and lastly to theatre. Aaron’s prime motivation for acting is the impact of telling stories and the escapism that comes with it.
The whole experience of being part of ‘Benighted’ was one of the best. It was a fun cast and crew to be a part of. Learning about the story and journey that these soldiers go through was something I personally feel words cannot explain.

CHARLES JOHNSTON
Charles started performing from a young age with dancing and singing, then transitioning to acting, going on to perform in several theatre productions whilst also taking on an academic interest. Though this is his on-screen debut, he hopes to make further strides alongside his Film and Theatre University course due to his thorough enjoyment of acting.
Benighted was incredible. It gave me the experience I long desired with film whilst also creating a friendly, bonding environment. The excellent skills of the other cast and, of course, the crew also helped fuel my passion for this industry and further add to my knowledge. Overall, I feel so lucky to be a part of Benighted.

DYLAN EVANS
Dylan has always been in awe of filmmaking. Now studying at college, he is training to be an actor where he hopes to further his career in the arts.
‘I applied for Benighted because I’ve always had a love for war dramas. The experience making the film was like nothing I’ve ever done before, it was enjoyable to make. Overall, both cast and crew were very professional and friendly to work with’.
